My CEL, VSC and slip indicator lights came on in my 2008 RX350 while on a trip last night. Upon going to AutoZone this morning, the engine error codes are C1201 and P0015 x 3 (it was on the reader three times). Any ideas what this means? The gentleman that helped me said the cam shaft sensors and solenoids may be going out. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have a look at these:

Have you been keeping up with the regular maintenance?

Yes, its had regular service at the proper intervals. And of course, the warning lights went off as I drove around this afternoon. I will look at taking it to the dealership the next time this occurs.

Thanks for those links.

Buy an Actron AutoScanner for thiose pesky lights. You can clear them in a matter of seconds.

Good info .... Thanks all.

2nd Gen 2005 RX300 -1mz (Trinidad WI)

Recently the CEL and VSC lights came on...did the scan and got a P0037 code.

Ordered the b1s2 oxygen sensor off toyotapartscheap.com oem part # 89465-48180.

I'm not sure how to cross reference it yet to the Denso part #.

I've seen reference made to upstream / downstream right and left and to the pre-cat and post-cat sensors but I'm unsure which is which?

I had my gs430 for about a month and before I knew it. Check engine light. Then vsc / vsc off light a few days later. After searching this forums I decided to try looking at my gas cap. Sure enough the gasket had a crack and it was brittle. Thinking I had solved the problem I went to Lexus parts and bought a $32 gas cap. Well after 200 miles it just got worse. Now it started missing(sputtering). Over it I took it to my machanic. Code reader, miss fire 5 , misfire 7, fuel defusuer?
Turns out the problem was, bad ignition coil on cylinder 5, bad ignition coil cylinder 7. $147.00 in parts, $6 12 pack of sunkis soda, and 3 cheeseburgers and $32 in labor. No check engine light no vsc light. Car runs even stronger

I fixed mine by changing out the corresponding fuse (7.5 amperes) #20 -- Driver's Side kick panel. The pack of fuses cost me $4 at AutoZone.

Default Check Engine, VCS, and Traction Control light were all lit on dash

Today after a short 10 mile drive, the Check Engine, VCS, and Traction Control light were all lit on dash. I got the code P0355 Ignition coil E primary/secondary circuit. This says the 5th coil or plug triggered this (its the rear cylinder closest to the driver). The car runs great. Could not detect a problem with the way the car ran. I stop and started the engine a few times and the last time I restarted the engine, the lights where all off like normal. I then went for a 40 mile drive, and the lights stayed off. 141,500 miles on the car. I am the second owner and I purchased it with 140,000 miles on it from a dealer so I do not know if the coils or plugs have been replace. I pulled the front three plugs out and they all looked fine .Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
