RX330 High Pitch Noise
Has anyone experienced their vehicle making a high pitched shrill when the car reaches speeds above 80mph? It almost seemed like it was coming in thru the speakers, but I turned off the radio and the air conditioner. I do think I'm having a problem with roters, could it be something with that??

You have to give us more on type and estimated source of sound.
First blush: Wind noise from rear view mirrors, slats on the roof, rear spoiler.

Oh man, for some reason my 04 started this high pitch whistle after about 70 that seemed to come from the front drivers area--wind leak?? I taped up all the seams everywhere I could and it still did it--got so pissed I traded it for an 08..lol No, thats was not the reason I traded but funny.
I want to think its related to the mirror some how? I was about to take the mirror off to see if it went away

We have often "cruised" our 330 at over 80 MPH and have yet to hear any high pitched noises. Only time I heard anything unusual was when I managed to knock off the left wind splitter (ahead of the front tire) and sucked down the fender liner. At anything over 75 it rubbed on the tire and made a 'fingernails on chalkboard' sound - very annoying!

Does the sound come from the back and is there a flashing red light in your rear view mirror? LOL
No noise on my 04 at those speeds. What does your Lexus dealer have to say about it? What makes you say you might be having trouble with your rotors?

This is interesting. I also have a sound from my 2007 RX350 that starts right at 80mph. Mine is not loud just irritating. The sound is from the rear and is a steady low volume harmonic, almost like a wheel bearing. It goes away when I ease up on the accelerator. I haven't mentioned it to the dealer. I am sure I would get a lecture on driving the speed limit. Right now I am in watch and wait mode.

My 04 RX330 also started this low high pitch noise coming from the front. The noise only appears occasionally. I can't really tell exactly where it is coming from. I heard the high pitch even when parked with only the engine on. If I shut the car down more than 6 minutes the noise disappeared that's why when I took it to the dealer but they can't hear it. It's driving me crazy. Any idea?

Hmm, haven't heard any noises above 80mph.
But I do have this low-to-high-to-low, subtle, robotic sound (1 sec. long) when I'm pulling out from my garage EVERY morning, regardless if the a/c is on or off. It doesn't happen after my car has been sitting in the sun. My friends '04 did the same thing when I had to move it other other night.

I have the same noise before on my rx 300, it occured about 70-80 km/h. The noise was from the soft hose (for water run off, from the roof or windshield)under the car. Ask the dealer to reposition/adjust the hose.
