Modded RX Question
Just out of curiosity, but why aren't there many modded RXs out there. Outside of wheels I don't ever see modded RXs. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. But I would really like to see more kitted RXs on air and stuff like that. Any way is there just little interest in modding RXs ? Or is cost to mod the bigger issue?

because 99%+ of RX's sold out there are family haulers and costco/home depot wagons
just like you won't find that many modders on the ES forum, the average age and demographic is vastly different from the members in the other forums.

There is some merit in taking off the roof racks.....

Well does that include everyone in this forum for the most part or are you just generally speaking?

just generally speaking at the 99% rate, but since this is a car enthusiast forum, i would maybe reduce that to somewhere between 85-90% of members on the RX forum.
personally i am 30, married and female and the only mods i have done are tiny things like TC grille, black emblems, side turn signal mirrors (TBD) and on the inside SLI and dvd hack. i am not sure it that is a lot or a little, but then again i've had the car for 4 1/2 years so i just add a little to it every now and then.
i would say the average person in this forum is more interested in the everyday uses of the car (mpg, rattles, child seats, etc.) rather than how to make it corner like it's on rails or stand out a car show. does this surprise you?

lexuslover has a good insight on the demographics on this forum. I am interested in finding out as much about the RX (soon also the GS) and simple fixes to problems, tips, tricks to make life a bit better when using the car. Enhancements cosmetically and functionally, as well.

Lexuslover...as usual...you said it better than I could.
I can't leave any vehicle alone, but my plans for the RX are much fewer - and subtle - than my previous GM SUV and Audi A4. So far I've added the TC grille and the TTE 30mm drop springs. I'll probably add a set of 19's soon, and in the interior an iPod adapter. Beyond that, of the few things out there I've yet to see any that catch my eye or fit my needs for the vehicle.

I'd love to mod my RXh, but have soooo many questions about mileage and warranty. I'd probably start with ipod integration and rear camera/GPS. Want to put a subtle body kit, but don't want to drop it to "close the gap". Anyone have a kit with stock rims & no drop?

tod071, are you interest on this kit? I probably can get you a set. I just put this on mine (below) 2 months ago. The material is fiber glass and you need to have it paint at any local body shop.
