1. Holy sillyness.. That commercial is ridiculous...
2. You win by default. I just don't want to play anymore.

I have a friend who has an Azera. When he tells people he owns a Hyundai Azera, they say what's that, and he has to explain that and take five minutes trying to convince everyone how the quality is much better now, features, how great a car it is, etc. When I'm asked what I drive, I just have to say Lexus. Nuff said.

They made a huge mistake in not creating a new upscale brand name for their new models, like Honda, Toyota, and Nissan did. It's gonna be many years before they will be able to change the "Hyundai" image, no matter what they build.

You are right about that...AZERA what? They are in the AVALON stage....remember when Toyota designed its 1st US Toyota car....the AVALON. Through the years, AVALON has evolved....I like today.

I agree. Big mistake made by Hyundai.. The Azera and Veracruz would have been good models for their new brand. Let them rot in their stupidity.

The problem with Hyundai is that, now they are getting closer to Toyota, they need to have more new models and new features in their cars. This is all new to Hyundai and they are still learning, thats why there relieability has gone down.

I agree. I just can't see the Hyundai name being worth more than what people will pay for the loaded Sonota. Once you get to the upper $20Ks or the $30Ks, the Hyundai name will kill sales.

Default 35K for a Hyundia?

I have been reading this post with some interest , I have a 2008 RX 350 Flint Mica . So I went to a few Hyundia posts and the top of the line was going for +35K . My feeling is that mine (no nav) is very similar to the Hyundia Veracruz ultimate package. (DVD big deal) So for 40K I have a LEXUS ,that in 2011 will be worth around 28K and the Hyundia Vera ( with similar milage) around 18-20k . I think 5K more for the LEXUS was well worth it. Everyone thats sees my new ride is acutally more impressed with it than I am.

BECAUSE IT'S A LEXUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
