Default Bad rattle

Look at the long thread below concerning this subject. This has many different rattle descriptions, and most have solutions(including my own).
Read it and fix your problem.

I'm assuming you mean from the interior. Make sure your cargo cover is securely mounted in its place. There are two quick-release latches that tend to work loose. Just push them down to insure a tight fit.

Just had my left side rear rattle taken care of - warranty covered it. 2007 RX350. Dealer cleaned and lubed rear rubber gasket, checked turn signal screwes and bulbs and did something to the gas filler flap or something. Worked. My noise was coming from the exterior of the car but sounded like it was coming from the cargo left rear. Could duplicate the sound by pushing inward on the left side rear hatch turn signal unit.

Fishball, you need to take the service rep out for a test drive and show him the problem.

Test drive with the Tech is always good, just make sure you can re-create before you go in.

My 04 has the same rattle. I traced it to the rear lower apron on the driver's side (press on the apron just aft of the wheel arch and it's not well secured, compared to the other side). I showed it to the tech 2 years ago, and was told that Lexus was working on a fix and there was nothing they could do. I checked back six months ago, and surprise, there was still no fix. Sigh...

I had a miserable rattle when I got my 04 Rx330. I discovered when I had a passenger in the rear seat is stopped. I tightened all the seat rail bolts under the rear passenger seat and the rattle stopped.

Make sure you have the locks on the cargo cover pushed in. If mine are in the released position, I get a nasty rattle.

Should there be a rattle list and their fixes by now? Makes sense?

When your tailgate door is up, you will see two buttons along the side of the door itself, one on each side. They are spring loaded, so if one gets inadvertantly pushed, it pops out a little. When the tailgate is closed, it then creates a very irritating rattling noise. Make sure both buttons are pushed IN, and there will be no noise (at least not from this cause). It took me several weeks to find it, since the dealer "never heard it".

Default '07 RX350 Rattle

I'm having the same problem with my '07 RX350 with a rattle coming from the hatch area. I just picked the car up today after leaving it at the dealership for a week. It seems that the rattle is even worse! I'm getting frustrated with this, especially since the loaner that I drove all week,
an '08 Lexus RX350 did not have these thunks and rattles.

Any idea what they did or modify in your GAS FILLER FLAP? i suspect that's the one of the rattle issue i noticed in my RX '06 BWB.
