WeatherTech Wind Deflectors
Is anyone having a problem with their front windows reversing back down when closing against WeatherTech wind deflectors? This only happens on the driver's side of my RX 350. I've reinstalled it serveral times at the direction of WeatherTech, they even sent me a new one to try, no improvement.
I also went to my Lexus dealer and they check the calibration of the auto-reverse and found it to be fine, they had no suggestions since they aren't Lexus brand. I tried the Lexus brand first but the stick-on type started coming loose after a few weeks.
Can anyone help on this? Thanks.

Mine has auto close so it just goes up to the top and reverses. The only way I can get it closed is to stop the window about 1" from the top then close it from there and it won't auto reverse. What a pain.

Sensitivity has to be adjusted. It is a safety adjustment. I am pretty sure the Dealer can adjust it, if they bother...

Auto close is only operational when you pull that window switch all the way up. You should feel a notch and if you pull a little more after that, then the auto close activates. Try closing the window without using the auto close or you can try shaving down the wind deflector's plastic inside the window's channel.

Mine's too sensitive....it wants to go AUTO on me all the time, pisses me off....so I play the game of click.....this is becoming one of the least favorites.....

As I said in my post I did go to the dealer and they check the sensitivity, it was okay, same as the passenger side. They would not turn it down.
Gibster, did you set the setting your self?

Normalizing Window Position
The procedure from the manual is as follows:
To normalize the power windows:
1. Push down the power window switch of each door and lower the windows halfway.
2. Pull up the switch until the windows close and hold the
switch for a second.

I tried that, it only works to close the window as long as I'm holding the button up, the auto close still does the same thing - reverses back down. Strange how it's only the driver's side window.
A guy at WeatherTech called me today, they have a tool from Germany they're sending me to help seat the deflector better in the window channel. I'll report back when I get it and test it.

The WeatherTech use to come with a spacer for the window, kind of looks like a clip, is that the tool you are talking about? For some reason, they stop using them. If I remember right, the problem was those clips keep coming off.

No, what they told me is that it's an installation tool to aid in seating the deflector against the outside of the window channel. It does not stay there. I wonder if it will work. When I stalled them I left the window up for 2 days without opening it so I have some doubt that this tool would do more than that procedure.
