Default Just Brought Home New 08

After 131k miles in a 4runner, we finally bought my wife her 08 RX350!

I really wanted to wait for the new 09 model but the 4runner was needed some costly repairs (a valve job! ). And I couldn't find an 07 blk/blk with nav which would have saved me $1500 to $2k. But anyways, we luv this car regardless. We got it at the Newport Lexus which is supposed to be the largest and grandest Lexus dealer in the country. All I can say is wow! The salesperson took me for a test drive in the LS460L while the paperwork was getting done and that car is a awesome. Too many features and I even did the auto park twice! Very impressive car.

I'm a new member here and this is my first post. It looks like there's a lot of info posted here. It'll take me some time to look through them all. Anything in particular I should be aware of or look out for in the RX that has been a concern? I've read about the wind noise and I do notice it a bit. But is doesn't bother us. It's gonna take a while to understand the Nav and the hands-free bluetooth functions!

I'll be doing a lot of reading for the wife in the next week or so!!

Thinking of purchasing new 2007 blk/ivry noNav from them, how was their inventory, if you can recall? Also, how was the sales negotiations and financing dept, hi pressure?
Any advice?
Thanks much and enjoy your (wife's) car.

most dealers probably have low supplies of 07's. but you can probably get a 1500-2000 discount off invoice if you can find a 07.

My wife wanted blk/blk with nav. I contacted Longo, Westminster, Mission Viejo, Tustin, Newport and Keys for a 07. I was quoted $38k plus tax+fees for an 07 with Nav. That is a great deal to me. But none had one that's blk/blk. So we opted for an 08. So we paid $40k +tax+fees for an 08 with chrome at Newport. They only had that 08 blk/blk. I know Newport had a lot of blk/ivory but most if not all were without nav.

Good luck.

I'm looking to purchase new 08 350 in the Chicagoland area. Was looking at 08 400 hybird, but I've been told, won't be available till eoy, was hoping for tax credit on hybird. Just curious on how much off of list dealer came down. I've been seeing 4-5K off list. Any thoughts? I've been told tax credits are $1,100 until 3/31/07, then $550.

Question good deal ?

I am working on a deal for an 08 rx350 with AWD. MSRP is 41710 and the dealer is offering 2000 off. Is this a decent deal?

I think you can get better. Generally, a decent deal is one that you can get the car out the door with tax, license, et. on MSRP (at least out here in CA with 7.75 to 8.25% sales tax). I think you should be able to get $3-$4k off. I got mine through the internet sales for an 08/nav/fwd with 44k MSRP and without negotiating he gave quoted me $40k plus sales tax/license.
