RX330 Black Paint Code
hey i have an SC400 and i was driving behind a black RX330 and was like WOW! that is a beautiful coat.
i'm about to upgrade my body styling so i figure i'd paint the whole thing then most likely.
were there different blacks made for the RX330 or just one?
if anyone could give me the paint code i'd appreciate it

202 Black Sand Pearl has a little bit of flake in the paint. It's not obvious from far away. But up close with a spot light, there is a little bit of pearlessence.
212 Obsidian is the apparently the blackest black that Toyota/Lexus has produced. It is a deep black.

Black Sand Pearl is color code "209". It's not the same as the Black Diamond Pearl (211), which was used on the '05 SC 430 Pebble Beach Edition, the '06 ES 330 Black Diamond Edition, as well as a new Toyota FJs. 209 has a little more "metallic content" in it than the 211, from my view.
Neither Black Onyx (202) nor Obsidian (212) are metallic colors.
We get complaints about Lexus's black "202" paint from more people than I'd care to mention. Hopefully, the new Obsidian color will change that perception...we'll see. Switching to the 209/211 would probably help that, but I suppose Lexus wants it that way for some reason.
