Default '07 rx350

Just got rid of my Merc ML350 and got me a 07 RX 350. After owning a RX300 for 8 years I new it was time to come back to Lexus. Nothing better than a Lexus.

Now I have the ES300 and the RX350 and I am very happy with getting rid of the Mercedes Monstrosity.

Wink New Lexus owner!

Hi all!

My girlfriend has a 2007 RX350 and on Monday I get my very own 2000 RX300. (I posted in the 1st Gen forum as well.) So excited!

Hello. I'm brand new to Club Lexus. While I had a 2005 Thundercloud Edition RX330, I traded it in for a 2008 RX 350. My trade had 85408 miles and the one I just bought has 51803. The color is a dark mica gray. It has a premium package plu performance with the towing also. I am the second owner and no accidents reported on Carfax. Car is in impeccable condition. Received service records and the first owner truly babied this car. Every 5000 mile service is documented. I did not buy any of the products that the finance guy was trying to sell me. He offered an extended warranty in the amount of $6000. I've done some research and Car Chex seems to be the top rated seller for extended warranties. I was quoted 5 yr/60,000 mile titanium package for $2100. Any thought to this? It seems many people are against buying an extended warranty. However, I'm a single female who would feel so much better with a sense of security. I would appreciate any concerns or thoughts regarding anything I've mentioned. Thank you for allowing me to be a member of your club. It's an honor!

I think you are better off putting that 2100.00 in the bank and saving it for future repairs. How much did you have to put into your 2005? I would also bet, that if something did happen, it would be almost impossible to cash in on that extended warranty. I would feel confident that a lexus will make it past 110K without any major issues. Congrats on the new ride btw.

New to the Lexus crowd, but my wife enjoys it. Our RX350 replaced her 1998 Yukon 4X4. I drive a Dodge 2004 2500 Diesel, bought it new. Since the purchase, I've had some issues, but more on that later. Just hope that her new (used) car is what it's cracked up to be.

Howdy from TX...We have a Lexus because I was driving my wife's Honda Odyssey and hit a deer. She was passenger at the moment, and did a fist pump in front of me in celebration knowing this meant a new car...voila our first Lexus.

Only in Texas. After the fist pump did she field dress the deer and strap it to the roof rack for the trip home?

Default 2005 rx330

Just got a 2005 RX330. No idea what trim level. Great shape for a 10-yr-old car, but several little things need attention. Fortunately I found this group, which has already helped me reset my power windows (mechanic thought I needed to replace the master switch) and directed me to a $5 part to fix one of my power door locks! Thanks, Club Lexus!

Default Upgrade 1999 to 2009

Hello folks,

Bought a 99 RX300 in 2006 and drove it until this month, with 370,000 km. ( 230,000 mi.) on it. The plan was to try to get 400,000 km. ( 248,000 mi.) before retiring it, but a whole bunch of issues started happening all at once: $2000 estimate for exhaust repairs, wonky power steering & power brake pumps, failing alternator, engine running poorly.

We decided the money was better put towards a newer vehicle. Looked at other options like Honda Pilot, Toyota Rav 4 or Highlander, Buick Enclave, but came back to what's worked well for almost 9 years, another RX. We just purchased a 2009, Smoky Granite Mica, with 112,000 km. Really like the built-in nav system and am surprised at how much I enjoy driving with the sunroof open, even when the air temp is below freezing. Haven't had a sunroof for a long time and this one seems much quieter than the ones we had on older vehicles (1982 Nissan Stanza,1985 Jetta).

No decent pictures to post yet. Looking forward to the helpful sharing of info on 2nd generation RX's.
