You got it, but I did go with the lexus because it is more gentle on the environment. Here I was hating SUVs all these years, thought I'd buy a nice little 4 cyl truck, but they pollute more and use more gas than I realized. Once I started doing the research, I saw the RX 350 was best in class for being green (yes, even the non-hybrid) so I had to go Lexus. Since you winked, I trust you were just giving me some ribbing vs. trying to be a d*(k? I hope so...

In case anyone's confused, my mssg was intended for 32kcolors, so I guess the rest of you don't know what I was talking about. He was teasing me about being vegan and chosing the 350 (kills trees) vs. 400 (kills cows). Yes, I prefer killing trees to cows, plus by supporting cow farming, you support tree farming (do the research). I don't want to turn this into any debate, I was just explaining that I find it ironic that the 400h isn't offered with a cloth interior, but the 350 is. Doesn't make sense, environmentally speaking, but these companies never make sense. They think they know their target audience, but at least lexus is trying. If a true environmentialist has to buy a beast like this for practical reasons, vs. getting a Prius, they will pass on the leather and get the cloth. Again, my focus is on the company. It it not my intention to set off an environmental debate here. I just wanted an SUV that was more gentle on the enviroment, but the 400h wasn't an option because of the leather. It would be smarter for lexus to offer the cloth or leather option on the 400h, vs. the 350. You'd think with a more expensive car, you'd be MORE likely to customize it the way you want, not less. Sheesh! Anyway, I'm picking up the car tomorrow. I'm really excited and hopefully I can get a pic up and at least let other veggies/vegans know that lexus makes an suv with cloth seats, you just have to custom order it....My gosh I've been waiting a long time. Feels like Christmas Eve!!!!

Default New to Lexus

Just took delivery yesterday - Flint Mica - black w/Preferred Package Plus and 18" wheels. Traded 2004 X5 about to go out of warranty. RX350 handles a little better than I anticipated but not as crisp as X5. Would like sport seats. Overall, though, pretty neat car (the RX). Compares pretty close in size to X5. Was time to try something different and I don't think I'll have any regrets. Plus, wife will really get the RX , anyway.

Got my crystal white/beige RX-350 at the end of June with premium plus package, navigation, Billet chrome grill, chrome wheels and Sirius ...... dealer changed to XM since Sirius was discontinued! After 600 miles my mileage for mixed driving is 19 mpg. I replaced a 2005 black Toyota Avalon which replaced a white 2004 Infiniti FX-45 ........ missed having an SUV. I feel that the RX is a little more nimble than the FX which felt "heavy" driving in the city. I test drove RX-300, 330, 400h in the past . The bigger engine in the RX-350 made the difference for me. I am happy with the RX but miss the keyless doors and start I had in the Avalon and the FX-45. I use MP3 discs and a cassett adapter for my IPod.

Thanks! Any pics would be great too
We have a 2007 RX 350 white with beige interior. It is the third Lexus purchased in last few months. We also have a 2006 GX 470 and a ES 350. Both great cars.

We previously had a 2006 RX 400h which had problems climbing the 3 mile incline from the main road to our mountain home. The 350 displays more torgue on this climb as does the GX 470.

It has the premium package. I did not do nav as we had it on the 400h and did not like it. It tracked main highways pretty good but not back roads which we take from FL to NC. It drove is more crazy with its wrong information so I went back simple. I also enjoy the wood sterring wheel which we have had on all our Lexus except the premium 400h which I do not understand.
We love our new 2007 RX 350 and 2007 ES 350. Great engines and Lexus quite.

Got my RX350 here in Australia a few weeks ago.. Got it in Granite, with the Sports Luxury Pack that includes the Sat Nav, Mark Levinson Audio and Rear View Camera.

Just tested the Nav Overide "feature" and works fine on our version of the Nav system.

I'm going to be investigating putting a computer into my RX350 and connecting it up to the Nav screen and Audio input. Would love to have a 80Gb HD full of MP3 for long trips

Cheers,

Normski

Greets! 1st post and all...:-)

Just picked up (Wed 8/9) our silver/grey '07 RX350. Premium plus pacakage and the *sigh* bling chrome rims. :-)

It's primarliy the wifes....she's coming out of an '03 Lincoln Aviator. Now THERE was a mistake. Live and learn.

No other comments from me yet....still reading and "learning the ropes". Y'all don't seem as brutal as the guys on some of the other forums I read.

First post here. Looks like a great place!

We picked up a Bamboo Pearl with Ivory interior, nav and Premium Plus package yesterday.
It's mostly for the wife, who absolutely loves it. It's a nice move up for her, going from an Acura Integra.

Cheers!

just bought one for my wife. it's white with the tan leather interior. sorry, i don't have the official color and option names memorized yet, lol. yep, a newbie. love the RX350. got a good deal and we're very happy with the it. we also own an 04 Tahoe Z71 and 04 Z71 truck. very happy with the Chevys, but we wanted something with better gas mileage.

it is a RWD with everything, including the heated seats.

cheers and happy motoring.

btw great BB. every thread i've read so far has been very positive. plan on checking in lots more.
