Hi!
Hubby has nicknamed the RX "chameleon" because the bamboo pearl color changes constantly depending on the light. It looks silver, beige, gold, white or green - the only color it didn't look is blue but maybe we haven't seen that light yet.
The GX is nicknamed "GarageMaster" which if you look at the picture above you can figure out

RX on Order
I currently have an RX 350 on order with the following:
Color combo: Crystal White with Ivory Fabric (I'm a vegan and in kermit's words "it ain't easy" being vegan. I wanted the RX 400h, but it came in leather only, so I got the runner up and even that was hard. Not many dealers will special order one.
Options: Since mine doesn't have leather, I'll limited to my options, but mine will come with the roof rack, 18" wheels with locks, Trunk Mat, Tow Prep and Hitch. I wanted the Nav, but may just get a gps for my treo.
What you drove previously: Currently driving a 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II. I'm the original owner. Bought it off the show room floor back in the fall of 86. I'm gonna cry when I sell it, but I need a more "practical" vehicle. Plus, now that I'm older, wiser, and not so narcisistic, I care more about the environment (see comment about 400h above). My sports car has a racing beat exhaust. It is about as bad as it can get when it comes to pollution. I bought the RX350 because it's ranked as the best in fuel economy for it's class and due to it's low emissions rating (new car for better karma). Now if I can find pollution controls for my Harley Softail. It gets 50mpg and I love it and want to keep it, so now I'm trying to figure out how to make it more environmentally friendly.
Christmas comes around Sept 10th this year. Not sure if that's the eta for the dealer or date to ship from Japan, but I'm excited!!! Once I get it, I'll be posting more. In the meantime, I'll prob keep my eyes peeled for ideas about how I can customize the new baby.

And being a vegan, you would rather kill a tree (real wood trim in the RX350 vs. aluminum trim in the RX400h)
