Default RX400h Brakes

Has anyone had issues with the brakes? I've had brakes that rusted and screeched down the hill in reverse (my driveway), had it serviced, it happened again, a brake kit installed and now weird performance. On a hill (facing forward) going under 35 the car lurches forward and then brakes caught on. It happened repeatedly.

What sort of "brake kit" did you have installed? I've had no problems with the brakes on my RX400h.

rusted? :-). thats oxidation that can be cleaned easily, it happens since discs are not used most of the time, which is good. You need to brake in your brakes during first 200-300 miles, you need to brake smoothly and not abruptly...

I have no idea what kind of brake kit they installed. They have been resurfaced in the front and back before, too. This time they resurfaced all the rotors. The car has over 6000 miles and I do brake gradually. They encouraged me to use the brakes more! However, I can't have them resurfaced every month or so!

The 400h should only be using brake pads in emergency situations and below 5 mph. There is no way you should need to have the discs resurfaced in the first 6000 miles. I would take issue with your dealer's diagnosis. I can't believe you would need the discs resurfaced unless there is something major wrong with your braking system.
