Default Hybrid?

My monster-in-law ran into an old friend that owns a dealership out east. She asked him about the Hybrid and he told her not to get one, they had a lot of problems. Anyone know what they might be?

Smile 5 Months & No Issues

Don't know what he is talking about. I have had my 400h for 5 months now, and no problems with the car at all. Runs great and I would buy another.

Default the 400h has been reliable

The rx 400h and other Toyota hybrids have been under a microscope in online forums since they first came out. They are incredible vehicles that combine fuel efficiency, power, safety and better handling than most cars in thier class. I own a 400h with 4500 miles and it runs perfectly.
In addition i belong to two other online hybrid forums besides this one and no one is having reliablilty problems with this vehicle. Many of our online posters have almost 10,000 miles on thier vehicles. Consumer Reports frequency of repair records for the Hybrid Synergy Drive Vehicles has been much better than average. The only area of concern for about ten percent of hybrid owners is miles per gallon issues. It does require a hybrid style of driving to get the best mpg from these cars. I consistently get 25 to 27 mpg mixed city hiway in my 400h.
