Default Sprint LG PM-325 bluetooth?

Hi all,

I've been lurking around here for several months and appreciate all the good information here.

I have an 05 RX 330 with navigation (and bluetooth), and I'm intrigued by bluetooth. I have Sprint cell phone service in North Texas (zip 76180) and I've read reports of very limited success with bluetooth on the RX (or any other Lexus) with a Sprint phone.

Within the last month or so, the LG PM-325 with Sprint has been listed as a compatible phone on lexus.letstalk.com. Has something about this phone or Sprint changed recently that causes it to be listed now where it wasn't before? Incidentally, the Treo is still not listed as compatible, despite recent reports of success.

Thanks for any help.

I use this phone on my RX400h. The phone pairs and works fine. It helps to reduce the phone's volume on the phone itself. That results in better clarity. Them problem is that the phone will not send the phonebook to the Lexus. This means that one-touch dial does not show a name. Lexus does not allow manual entries into the phone book and dialing while driving is locked out. Finally, unlike other maufactures, Lexus does not support voice dialing. The '06 IS 250/350 corrects this. There is a rumor that Lexus, Sprint and Verizon are looking at ways to better the function of Bluetooth on Lexus models.

Thanks PJFW8. I think I'll wait and see if Sprint can figure out how to deliver service comparable to Cingular, or perhaps in November when my Sprint contract is up, I'll look into Cingular.

Incidentally, there are no longer any Sprint phones listed here for the RX and for my zip code.
