Does anyone with a 2005 model have the same issue? I hear cracking noises coming from the sunroof area. Usualy, when the weather is cold.

Is there a TSB for it?

No, I have a 2005 RX330 and don' t have that problem.

Lext wish I had a 330 to help you, but FYI in case it is the same issue, the '99 Rx which we had, had black plastic panels around the sunroof that were too close to the glass and cracked, I could run my fingers around them and loosen them from touching the glass. Didn't help much as the plastic was too long and still touched the glass. On the '03 the plastic doesn't touch the glass and no cracking sound, nice.
Might be a 300 TSB I don't recall. see ALLDATA or,

Is coming from the front part of the sunroof (black metal portion). When I manually push it up a little with my hands when it is closed.....I could hear the cracking noise sound. Sounds like some insulation is needed.

It could be a design "feature". Materials need to move a little if they expand/contract with temperature differences.
On every RX I've had, the sunroof makes a very faint noise from time to time, and I think it's expansion or contraction of the metal parts in the sun or dramatic temperature changes.

Haven't heard of this TSIB yet, but take it to your dealer; they need to know what's happening with the cars and that will hopefully start a TSIB.

I have a 2001 RX300. And mine had the clicking noise. It would start about 5 to 10 minutes after starting the car. And then going down the street. It wasnt always there. It took a couple of weeks. But I figured it out.

On a hot day. When the car is cooler that the outside. The material around the inside of the sunroof with expand and contract. It only shows up when the sunroof is closed. And the inside cover is pushed back. After about 20 minutes it would stop. When I took it back to the dealer. They knew all about it.

The dealer insulated the window. And now I dont ever hear it.

Lext, or not. If someone will let me near a 330 I'll see if it is the same issue as the early 300s, I doubt it since they fixed it on the '03 at least.

Just came back from my dealership......Wohoo!!! the sunroof cracking noise is gone!!!!!!!!
They told me they reseal the gasket.
