Can the navigation system in the 2004 rx330 be replaced with a navigation system from a more recent rx vehicle? If so, which ones are compatible? The system in the 04 can not be updated to current maps.

You have a gen 3 system which is not getting new maps. Gen 4 and 5 also are also no longer getting new maps. gen 6 was the only one updated this year that I saw.

The updated computer from the previous post, which goes in the trunk, won't do much for the screen or updated maps. It might make better sense to use your phone or get a replacement radio with iPhone and Android display capabilities.
