Illuminated Entry System, so cool!
When I first got my RX330, I thought the illuminated entry system had to do with just the dome light. I did notice that the map light buttons and in the foot area there's a dim amber light shining, but only the other morning did I notice that above the interior door handles are amber lights as well!?! It brought a tear to my eye!... j/k. But I do like how the rings around the 3 pods come on when you open the door. And the illuminated scuff plates. Is it just me or because I stepped up from an IS?

found this old thread... but i'm wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the settings, or do i have to take it to the dealer to have it changed? i got an 05 loaner once and the amber lights (the ones above the interior door handle and the ones in the footwell) stay on the whole time i was driving... i thought that'd be cooler than just having it on when the doors are open and turn off 15 secs after all the doors are locked.
if anyone knows how to change the settings please post it here... thanks!!
oh btw.. does anyone know how to change the color on those? do you think they are LED lights? maybe i can change it to blue or something?! that'd be soooo cool

There are 5 C-BEST settings related to the Illuminated Entry System. (This is from the '04 manual; I don't know if '05 has changed options or defaults.)
IL ON/UNLOCK
Choices: ON, OFF - Default ON
Turns on the interior light, step light, and ignition light when the door is unlocked with a key.
LIGHTING TIME
Choices: 7.5 sec, 15 sec, 30 sec - Default: 15 sec
How long the lights will stay on after closing the door. Regardless of this setting, if you turn on the key, the lights always go off when you turn the key.
ILLUMI SYSTEM
Choices: ON, OFF - Default ON
Light up the step lights, center console light, and inside door handle lights when one of these events occurs: ignition on, door opened, or door unlocked.
LIGHT CONTROL
Choices: ON, OFF - Default ON
Light up the step light and inside door handle light when the ignition switch is on and the trans is not in P.
IL ON / ACC OFF
Choices: ON, OFF - Default ON
Turn on the interior light when the key is turned from ACC to LOCK.
IL ON/UNLOCK
Choices: ON, OFF - Default ON
Turns on the interior light, step light, and ignition light when the door is unlocked with a key.
