!!RECALL!!-15,000 '04-05 RX330 Radiator Replacement

I tried to go up the food chain at Lexus of Rockville Center. The VP and GM refuse to install the radiator complimentary. The entire Atlantic Auto Group has lost a customer for life.
At least the manufacturer stepped up to allow me to be reimbursed for the parts because I never received the notification of the TSB.

I installed the radiator yesterday. Pretty straight forward part replacement. It took less than 3 hours. I'm glad we're having a mild winter, I didn't even need to wear a jacket.

We own a 2005 RX330 and the engine had a sudden meltdown due to the radiator splitting. We never received a recall letter and heard about it only because the mechanic working on the car told us about it. The car has 131,000 miles. Anyone have experience in getting Lexus to take at least partial responsibility when trouble happens past the stated recall warranty period?

That might be on the dealer....Everytime I have had a recall with any of my cars, the dealer told me about it. I believe they are supposed to check to make sure all recalls have been performed when you take it in for service. So if they didn't tell you, then I would say they are at fault.

Thanks. Trouble is when we called Lexus (general number, not the dealer), we were told our vehicle vin # was not included in the recall. But seems like since we had that exact thing happen, that we should have been included.
