Please allow me to introduce myself...
hey, whats going on..? just wanted to say hi and stuff. my name is jonathan, I am 23 years old, from new jersey... I have been the proud owner of a 04 MSM AWD RX330 for approx 6 mo. now. I am not new to CL, as I have been blessed enough to have owned two 01 IS300's before the RX...figured it was time to join in on this forum, have some fun and learn a little.
actually, I wont lie... I changed the oil the other day and triggered the maintenance required dash light. I just assumed that I had to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery in similar fashion to the IS when I was complete and the light would vanish... well, I was wrong -oops- needless to say the search feature on this site works well. the light is off , the one touch moonroof, windows, and tailgate now all function as if I never disconnected the battery. yay!
the RX330 is a great vehicle. I wanted something with AWD as the IS was not really practical for the winter weather here. I dont have a single complaint yet, other then its a lot bigger to clean/wax when compared to the IS and requires some time. no modifications have been made thus far, unless you count window tint (gay). somewhere down the road I plan on picking up the front bumper brush gaurd thingy ... and possibly the avelectronics unit for adding an xbox as a complete media solution w/ movies, games, and music. maybe some nice 7" headrest monitors to go along. who knows...
I do have a question however... for those of you with either a 300 or 330 w/ aftermarket suspension and wheels... how does the ride differ from stock? is it noticeable? are you happy with the outcome/results? what setup are you running?
well, i think i've wasted enough of your time, so thats it. thanks for reading.

Welcome aboard!
Welcome to CL, Jonathan! Like you and many other members, I "lurked" around this site for some time before joining because I found a wealth of information here. As you have already found, that search engine is a powerful tool. As you have probably noticed, we have a wide range of backgrounds and areas of expertise here and we can often (but not always) find answers to our questions. In the absence of answers, at least we can provide sympathy!
Congratulations on your new RX. I believe you will find as I have that it is a smooth and reliable city commuter, light hauler, client transporter, occasional off-road adventurer, and an awesome long-distance runner.

welcome to the world of RXs!
anyway, as for wheel set up, im using 20 x 8.5 rims with a 20mm offset. the tires are 245/40/20. i would like to change the tires to a 50 or 55 series...does anybody know if thats possible w/o rubbing? the ride is bumpier and thats why i would like tires with more sidewall.

Vegasrx330- regarding the ride comfort... this is exactly what i fear. i love the way the stock RX handles and rides. i was considering a 1" drop and some 20-22" wheels, however i dont want to sacrafice the smootheness.
