Q: TSIB SU001-04 - Front Suspension Noise
My wifes RX330 currenlty has about 3K miles on it, but we bought the vehicle about 6 months ago so I decided it was time for our 1st oil change. I scheduled the "5000" mile service with the sevice department, and along with the oil change, I decided to have some other things fixed. I had them do TSIB EL002-04, Power Back Door Inoperative; BO011-03, and Roof Rack Cross Bar Release Lever Improvement. I also had them adjust the HID's becuase the wife was complaining that it was too low.
I also complained about 2 distinct noises, dash rattle, and "knocking" or "relay click" type noise somewhere in the front of the car. I'm not sure whether they perfromed TSIB NV006-03, Instrument Panel Rattle, but they are performing TSIB SU001-04, Front Suspension Noise. The vehicle has been at the dealship for almost a week "awaiting parts". Has anyone else had TSIB SU001-04 performed on their RX330? Has this solved the "knocking", "relay click" noises?

Do you know what "part" you are waiting for? I just had this fix done to my car yesterday. The dealership said that they have hundreds of them back-ordered from Japan...and only 2 arrived.

My AWD RX330 currently is in the Lexus of Carlsbad (Calif.) dealership for the 5K service. While there, I brought a copy of the list of service bulletins from this news group and asked for the front suspension and transmission cooler hose modifications. Since I had previously complained about both noises ( squeaking from the front whenever going over a bump, and a slight "bump" noise when decelerating at about 30mph starting with the 1K service), I guess I qualified for the service bulletin fix and when I took the car in last Saturday discussed it with my service consultant. I received a very nice RX330 loaner car for my use while my car was in the shop. I was informed earlier this week that the parts were all on back order but that the dealership expected to receive them in a day or two. Yesterday, Thursday, I received a message from my service consulatant that all but one of the required parts had arrived. Hopefully, the last part will arrive today and the repairs will be completed. Will report back as to whether these service bulletins fixed the suspension squeak and the transmission area noise.

Front Suspension Noise
While in for the 5K service this past week, I had the Front Suspension Noise problem worked on. The service tech replaced the coil spring upper insulators and that appears to have fixed the problem very nicely. A visual inspection confirmed the condition described, according to the tech. I am awaiting back ordered parts for the transmission cooler hose replacement to stop the faint "thump" I sometimes hear when decelerating around 30 mph. That should be the end of it.
BTW, I mentioned the rear hatch sometimes does not seem to work with the remote. The finished service paperwork states: "When you manually close door, you then have to unlock all doors with the remote to re-set the computer." Come to think of it, sometimes I do use the remote to open the hatch, only to close it by hand. Guess that's a no-no.
