Wind noise above 60mph?
Does anyone have this kind of problem on RX330? Mine has annoying wind noise above 60mph. I believe it's too excessive noise even though all windows and sunroof are closed.
If you have any suggestion, please let me know.
Thank you in advance,

Two areas that can generate wind noise. One common area a lot of owners have found on the 330 is the wind noise generated by the roof rack, particularly the cross bars (this is a common "noise" problem with any vehicle with roof racks when traveling at highway speeds). You maybe able to reduce the noise by moving the cross bar but not sure it will totally eliminate it. Suggest you let the dealers do it since they may know the optimum position. The other area that can generate wind noise is improper window pane alignment to the window seal, i.e. there is an air leak somewhere. If you can pin point where the "leak" is coming from around the window, the dealer can easily align the window to seal the "gap". Hope this helps.

Yesterday, I was driving on the freeway around 80MPH and I heard some wind noise from the side.. Don't know if its normal or not...
Some input would be greatly apperciated.

Initially, my wife did not have the sunroof fully seated, and that really made a racket when I took off on the freeway. But after curing that, the vehicle is louder in wind noise than I had hoped, and my suspicion is most of the noise eminates from the roof area, specifically the rack.
Live in Texas, where it is often windy, and cross-winds on the highway do not seem to have much noise effect, so I doubt the noise is coming much from the side glass areas.
Have not yet had the 1000 mile checkup, and that item is on the list. We shall see what Lexus has to say.

Thanks for all the responses. The noise is coming above the roof, I am going to play around with the roof rack, as one of posters suggested. Another area is on the side, I can easily hear another vechicle passing by.
My buddy BMW X5 is queiter than RX330.

My RX300 has a whistling noise near the bottom right of the windshield. I'm wondering if it's because all the seams of the door, fender & hood come together there. It happens right about 60mph. I'm gonna try stuffing rags into the spaces in the seams to see if this helps at all. The roof rack is something I hadn't thought of though! This is definitely coming from around the right side mirror/door area, though.
Please email insight to jwilliams at cableaz dot com. Thanks!

I used to have a fair amount of wind noise. I could reduce the wind noise by tapping the window switch to lower the window just a hair. There is a TSB on this issue and since Lexus applied it the noise has gone away.

Yeah, it's not the window. I tried that. Very strange, but this car's full of little "quirks". Like the memory seat buttons don't work. Can't figure out why, though. All the fuses are fine. Ya know, even with all the little things wrong with it, I still get excited knowing that I own one. Lexus definitely made a name for themselves here.

I drive very fast down here...and the wind noise went away after I dumped the roof racks and rear spoiler.
BTW, my recent dumping last week of the plastic mudflaps killed some more of the sound.
