You probably won't get a free wash, (I wouldn't let them wash my Lexus anyway) and the waiting room likely won't be as luxurious. You also probably won't get a free loaner. That's is the value proposition I see where I have my RX serviced.

If I want to save money I'll go to the Toyota dealer. If I need a free loaner, or want to have breakfast, gourmet coffee and an office to use my laptop with WIFI, I'll go to the Lexus dealership.
uh ok......the lexus dealer near me charges around 110 for an oil change, the same service is 50 at the toyota dealership, no i should say 40 cuz im friends with one of the advisors there. anyways i can get a rental car from hertz for 30 bucks a day and have them meet me at the dealership with it. i can get a gourmet coffee for 2bucks and my office or home is better then the lexus dealer anyways. and oh yeah the toyota dealer near me will wash the car for free and will give me a loaner for any service, but thats besides the point. like i always say $$$ is $$$ you should definetely do some shopping around before doing service work just anywhere. my rx330 has only been to the dealer for warranty work and nothing else.

Take it that the Toyota dealer is out on Capital Drive??

Yes, that is his Toyota dealership. You should be able to use any Toyota dealer though if another is closer. I have purchased a number of vehicles from Jack Safro and have been very satisfied with their service but YMMV.

I also get service coupons from Woodfield Lexus and Safro Lexus of Brookfield has honored them.

Can anyone suggest a Toyota dealership near Boston that is willing to do routine maintenance work on the RX350? (e.g. 15000 mile "service"). If so, any idea on cost versus Lexus Dealership? (I bought mine at Watertown)

normally the labor is $10, if you bring your own filter and oil
and $39 at jiffy lube for premium (5w-30 syn), and $19 for normal oil.

Lexus in Doylestown is only $39.55 for Synthetic/Blend oil change. I think thats very reasonable.

I just got soaked for $87 for a change at a valvoline quickie stop--synthetic oil. It would have been more, but the lady found a coupon that dropped it some. And I thought Lexus was pricey!

Mr. Thompson's Toyota dealership have been a fixture there for decades. They were always reasonable and if the old man is still running the place I would assume things have not changed much. It is the dealership behind IronToad which sells Toyota/Lexus/Scion parts online. Used to take my 4Runner there for service when I lived in Bucks.

Cool,so you know where I mean? I have found them to be very nice to deal with. I could go to Lexus of the valley here by me,but the first owner (I`m the second) bought it and serviced it there. SO I figured I would continue going to them. Glad I did.

Where do you get 5 quarts of oil for $6 to $7 ??? I normally pay about $4 per quart for
5w-30 Valvoline and $7 for the oil filter kit at a Toyota dealership. Total cost is about
$27 w/o tax in Southern California doing the oil change myself.
