Need help want to play DVD movies in 04 RX 330 oem navigation
Ok one of my friend is getting a new rx330 in like 2 months. She wants to be able to play dvd movies in the front navigation monitor of the rx330. She contacted somewhere and they wanted 1000 for parts and 500 for installation to do it. I found that to be ridiculous when she is playing like 2400 (not sure off hand) or somethign for the navigation package and want to know what is involved. Is it a simple bypass, ive done tons of searches and i cant find anything. Can someone please give me an idea of what hardware i needed, and a resonable price to have the work done. If possible I will do it for her, but i dont know what is involved yet to do it.

Play DVD Movie in Nav Display
I am not sure if the Nav/GPS is packaged with the Entertainment unit in the US, but in Canada, if you buy the Nav package you get the DVD rear entertainment as well.
This allow the movie to be played in the Front Nav display screen when the following is done:
1) Set the parking brake on (Safety feature)
2) Set the Cd player on AUX (I believe)
3) Make sure that the front screen is set to ON.

The above is correct. Also for us the DVD player was optional with our Navigation but they told me it was going away soon and would be sold as one package. There is away to add DVD (or any thing you want) to the front navigation, while you are driving and with out the DVD package). I don't know if Vlad is still selling his Nav TV package. Do a search for NAV TV, or look for VideoNavi (also his AIM name) who knows what you will need.
