I measured this to see how much more the NX's rear hatch was raked versus the 3RX and to my surprise, they are virtually identical. It must be the more sloped roofline and high rear belt line that gives the illusion of increased rake. So for completion, I also added the 4RX since it does look more raked, and thankfully my eyes are not playing tricks on me here and in fact it is, almost coupe-like.

I think the rake looks smaller in the NX because the rear bumper seems deeper than the RX and the tailgate is taller. Therefore bottom of the bumper to the bottom of the window is greater in the NX leading to a window that looks relatively small - thereby causing an illusion of a smaller rake.
The 4RX is actually lower than the 3RX so it may be to accomodate the fact that it got shorter and longer.
Has anyone noticed the unevenness of the back carpet for the back seats at the hinge when the seats are folded down? The carpet seems to arch up. I find it unattractive compared to the smooth and neat transition from cargo area to the back seat on some other cars like x3. I don't own any previous rx, so I don't know if it behaves the same in the previous models.
Also, I am not sure I like the auto back seat folding function. It seems to be very slow. I'd rather have the lever for the manual fold, much quicker. I hope the auto folding is something I can opt out.

I'd like to see what the windshield rake comparison is for wind flow. They look pretty much the same.
Is the white bimmer running interference for the RX?
Appears so. Its probably used as a competitor to the RX too to see how they both handle and ride etc

The rake is greater on the 4RX. It does make sense though - logically the vertical length has to remain the same as the 3RX to ensure the driver can see what's behind. The RX got longer so to keep the vertical height the same, the rake needs to be greater
