eh, would love to bypass all the marketing mumbo jumbo and get straight to the facts. Haven't heard much about actual numbers. I'm slowly losing interest, although I'm sure I'll get back right into it in a couple months.

Is it me or did Lexus unveil this thing way too early. I feel I'm losing interest as well, especially if I was to order one fully loaded it probably won't be here until March of next year.

Yes, quite a delay between unveiling and when we can buy. My first year 3rd generation 2010 RX and my refresh year 2013 RX I was abel to buy in July, and some bought even earlier. I was thinking with the April 1st release date I could buy off a volume dealer lot by mid August or September. My question is why did the 2015 RX come out so early to be hanging around a year and a half or longer? Did the new NX have anything to do with any of the timings?

Indeed, by revealing the new RX too early I think Lexus is doing harm to the sales of the existing RX and even the NX.

It is pretty standard for all new vehicles... it really depends on auto shows, and if you are starting production of vehicle in Fall, then you have to introduce it by April, because between April and late September, there are no big auto shows.

Of course, they are using this to slowly announce new features, like these new videos that now show large wide screen color HUD that was not shown 2 months ago (there was one tiny video clip with poor images).

It's certainly not affecting the NX sales and the US only has 40k to sell.......they are NOT allotting anymore after the 40k either. -from reading

The NX fills another niche people that want a smaller SUV and they can not afford the 50+ tag on the newer RX. I know a few people got decent pricing on the new NX its been spotty at best as the dealers cannot keep them on the lots. -most anyway

That's a terrible deal. With incentives, he should have been able to get it for a little under invoice (in other words a few grand less than what he paid).

These are from the Austria training event. The black is a new shade, graphite black if I remember correctly.

New colours for the RX are atomic silver, the new red (think it may be infrared but could be matador) and graphite black.

Interior colours include black, brown, grey, beige and red depending on spec

The lighting on the red makes it look like a Cherry shade to me.
