99 RX 300 - 7.5A Gauge fuse blowing sequence
I've been having an issue with the 7.5A Gauge fuse "randomly" blowing in my 99 RX 300 for sometime. I'm pretty sure I have the exact sequence down as of today. If I start with the main brake pedal depressed, the transmission left in Park and the parking brake on and then release the parking brake, the fuse will blow as the parking brake hits its "top of travel" switch. I initially thought the AC was involved but I now know that the AC being on or off is irrelevant. I took a quick look at the wiring diagrams but I'm not seeing a tie in between things - obviously I'm missing something. Anyone have any clues or suggestions on what I should be looking at?
Thanks!

Mick, I am far from being an electrician but sounds like a short in the emergency (parking) brake/warning switch.
So it only blows the fuse when you release the parking brake, correct? The logical place to look is that switch.
Or you can just stop using your parking brake lol
