Default HELP RX300 Poor idel/miss fire

I replace an oil pump in a 1999 lexus rx300. It now idles rough and pop and farts when you give it gas when cold start up. But once it warms up after a few mins it idels fine and drives fine. It throughs a code p1346 after a while but it will go away after a while. I checked the timeing when balancer is at zero mark the cams are dead on lined up. I checked the cam sensor for ohn resistance at its 1000ish both are which is in spec. It ran fine before i changed the pump. I just had a low oil pressure problem which the new pump has fixed.

Should the marks line up when the balancer is set at 0 or should it line up with the pointer at 10? If it was out of timing why is it fine once it warms up?

Back story the owenr had drove it with the oil pressure light on. And the rear cam skipped two degress on the belt like it was in the middle of sizeing the motor and woukdnt run.. Reset the timing it ran fine. Did a little investigation and the oil pick had clogged and was starving the motor and fried the pump. So could be just the bearing or something is shot in the motor.

There could be a problem with the timing advance cam (this is driven by oil. It can fix itself by rinsing with the new oil (maybe additive can help). Or you may have to dismantle the cam mechanism and clean it out.

You may like to read a follow BearLexus' DIY and clean the oil filter screens in the valve as a quick start.
