So i had the 2 VVT solenoids ordered online and repalced at a repair shop. it ran well today . hoping that the CEL does not return.
Didn't change the spark plugs though, should I worry?
Thank you so much for your help.

Regular maint says to change spark plugs at 110K miles.

You will get misfire and CEL when any plug fails.

If and when you change plugs, please use OEM.

update: still runs great (fingers crossed), also passed the local emission testing after replacing the VVTs. The mileage is also on a uptrend.
Awesome forum, awesome people here...thanks a lot guys.

PS: starting to notice noise from the glovebox - probably the servo motor. I saw the DIY on it but if there is any other way to keep the intermittent noise quiet, i would like to try that.

Replaced my vvt solenoids that looked clean and closed when 12v. was placed across contacts. My RX no longer stumbles at takeoff (I thought trans. was going bad) only code I had was p1354 250K miles
