Hello all

First off, I'm new to this site and I'm tickled to find you all. I've never owned a Lexus but I've heard wonderful things. I've always been a BMW and Audi guy. I'm looking forward to learning all I can from you all.

I just bought a 2000 RX300 and I couldn't be happier. I'm trying to get my remote entry working correctly though. The key that I have works great but the remote won't unlock the doors. I have a second key and remote but the key is broken from the remote. The remote on this second/broken key works great. It unlocks and locks the doors just fine.

I tried to take the insides out of the second remote and put them in my good key box but that made the security light stay flashing on the dash thus the car wouldn't start. I switched them back and things went back to normal. I've found a couple of threads on here telling how to reprogram the remotes but I can't get any of them to work.

Has anyone got a suggestion? I'm open to any because I have spent about 3 hours switching keys, trying to program by opening doors, unlocking and locking doors, resetting systems and on and on....lol.
