My front windshield wiper blades make a soft thump sound at the end of travel (seems to be coming from the right side) that I don't recall hearing before. Any ideas?

Mine does that occasionally. In my case it's the wiper tip hitting the windshield surround. Some wipers do it, some don't.

You guys need to look at the wiper travel. max out to rest. The wiper mount points [single for driver and double for passenger] are secured by 14mm nut. Undo the nut and lift up the wiper. The post in knurled and you can move by one notch and test.
