RX300 low beams driving me crazy! :-(
I have a 99 RX300 and the low beam connections must be corroded or something.
One minute they work the next they don't.
Sometimes it's just one, sometimes it's both...
When I pull the bulbs (while still plugged into the electrical connector) from the back of the headlight housings it will suddenly light up and will stay lit for awhile but the next time I want to drive it I have to repeat this process.
I've tried switching bulbs, fuses, cleaning both the male and female plug housings with a needle file and contact cleaner and the problem still remains.
The only thing I can think to do is change both pigtails.
Anyone else have this issue? Is it a common problem? Any ideas or solutions?
HELP!

You may need to clean the contacts with some electrical cleaner. Corrosion is not a good thing and causes burning of contacts as well as wiring. The wiring were the connector is crimped may be corroded also which may require some cutting and (my preference) soldering new pig tails on.

If you jiggle the wires leading up to the connectors, do the lights flicker? It seems very strange to me... Just trying to determine what "action" of pulling the bulbs yielded the flickering results you described.
