Anyone experienced Elmscan 5 Scantool software with virus/trojan?

Elmscan 5 Scantool software with virus/trojan?
I believe there are number of folks on this forum that use Elmscan 5 Compact(USB) Scan tool.
I had bought it way back in 2010 from Amazon and had used it once with one of my previous laptop.
I wanted to use it today with my new Windows 7 laptop and when i tried to install the software form the CD that came with it the Enterprice Mcafee on my machine is detecting that there is a trojan(Virus) in the software.
Has anyone else ran into the same problem and can suggest me what can be done.
Probably i should call them and see if they can provide a new software CD.

Haven't used that particular software so no idea. But, it's possible the seller of that scan tool acquired the software by illegal means and generally softwares acquired that way have viruses.

Had bought the scanner way back in 2010 from Amazon. So hopefully software would have been legal. Though it looks since then scantool has migrated to OBDwiz. Will call them to see what can be done.
