Lexus 2003 rx300 driver side master switch problem
I have a problem in my 2003 rx300 2 days ago I tried to unlock it with my remote key and the driver side did not unlock...the way it works is you give one push and only the driver door unlocks if you give it two pushes then it unlocks all door including the hatch...well the way it works now is that with the first
push it unlock all door except the driver door, this one I have to unlock it manually
then if I want to lock the door it works fine one push and all door are locked.
another thing that I noticed is that when I roll the driver window down the automatic position is not working either if I want to roll the window all the way down i have to keep the switch down, the rest of the windows are fine and the automatic feature is working..please remember Im talking about the master switch on the driver side...the rest of the switches on the other doors work perfectly
I did research on the price of that switch and is pricy even for ebay that's why I want to make sure is really a faulty master switch before I spend over $200 getting another one....
any input or ideas of what may be the problem???
in advance thank you very much!

Sounds like the lock actuator is failing. Might not have anything to do with the auto up/down. That feature can need reset from time to time. Have you had anything apart in there recently. If the harness for the switch is not seated well the auto feature will not work too.
