Roof rack questions
Has anyone found a way to attach crossbar racks to a 300? The stock pillars are not designed to allow any sort of aftermarket pillar solution. As there are no side-rails my current rack is unusable. Can a 330 roof rack with side rails be retrofitted to fit the 300? Finding it hard to enjoy this car as it is not very user friendly if you want to carry skiis, bikes, kayaks or (God help you)..., building materials! Probably should have gone with a Volvo or Subaru wagon!

I think you will find that the rated weight-limit of the roof rack is pretty low, maybe 70 pounds or something like that.
For bicycles and ski equipment, you could add a trailer hitch and attach them to that. I get 7 or 8 foot long lumber inside, by lowering the front seat. You can also get approx. 3 ft by 6 ft sheets of plywood inside.
Kayaks come in all different lengths and weights. There are also some inflatable or collapsible kayaks that are probably cheaper than a Volvo
