Please don't be offended - I love my RX300. However, instead of saving your life as the title suggests, am I the only one wondering if your RX300 nearly cost you your life? Had you been in a lower center of gravity sport sedan with performance tires and ABS brakes, the situation you encountered would likely have been completely uneventful.

Hahahaha! Nooooooooo.... My ride is an '03 Lexus GS300...I was taking this in for my wife...it's still my car too, I use it to haul around my drums (Pro Nashville TN drummer here )...so it was ME in her car...our car...still, I'm glad it was me and not her driving...

I LOVE my GS and she LOVES her/ our / we-uns'...LOL... new 330RX...the color is great...it changes in different climes, in the sun it's one color, on rainy days it's a bit different. Bamboo Pearl.

Be advised, Partywave, that your 2000 Lexus 300RX is probably as safe as my 2002 was, so take heart in knowing that even on it's side, the electronics will work, the headlights will remain on for easy spotting by passersby and the sunroof will open to allow ER to get to you!

Thanks, 03LexusGS. Yeah, it's good to know the RX will protect its occupants in an accident.

I just got a call from a salesman from Lexus who has a 2004 RX330 Bamboo Pearl with tan interior, back-up cam, navigation, larger engine, 80k miles and HE said that they would put a new timing belt in the engine (I guess the belt is inside the engine) and put brand new tires plus matching spare on the vehicle.

He said it has Mark Levinson stereo upgrade whatever that is..., DVD player..and Heated Seats, and they'll put new brake pads, check rotors etc etc etc.

19.9k from the same Lexus dealer that performed the work on my 2002.

I GOT IT FOR 17k! Plus new brake pads, rotors and all fluids and filters changed! Gotta' love MY LEXUS! CarMax report is flawless, single owner vehicle with all maintenance done by my local dealer!

I'm Sooo excited guys! Lexus is really taking care of me!

Sounds like a deal to me!

Here's the new ride! Just picked it up this morning. GREAT thing about Bamboo Pearl is is looks different under any sky...it's rainy and dark here in Nashville TN, United States of America today, so it looks kind of blue grey...I'll post some pix in daylight...when we get some next week! second pix shows my awesome Pearl White '03 GS300...I LOVE THIS CAR!

The '04 RX330 is fully loaded. MARK LEVINSON audio package, factory 6 disk CD in-dash player and casette...(WHO has cassettes anymore?...never mind...it's here if I need it.......,

Factory DVD player with pop-down screen for rear seat entertainment, 18" wheels. FIVE BRAND NEW TIRES including spare with matching wheel, they did the timing belt replacement, all fluids levels were replaced, front wheel alignment, all filters replaced including 5 spd auto trans, this car even has the pop-up headlight washers!...and the headlights 'look' around curves...air-ride sensors for up-down easy access. LOL...OMG! What will they think of next...OH, I know...how about a heated steering wheel?...NOT. ....it DOES have front heated seats, fantastic leather interior with real wood trim...AND THEY INCLUDED A BRAND NEW REMOTE AND TWO BRAND NEW WIRELESS HEADPHONES FOR THE DVD SYSTEM! Rain-sensing wipers are pretty cool too!

Totally up-to-date navigation system, Auto-retract Toneau cover, auto tailgate/hatch with on/off auto cargo lights,, two keys w/fobs, Light years ahead of the 2002 300 and quite frankly, I like this body style much better than the larger Lexus SUV. The GX is it?

That looks like a real nice and clean RX but in my neck of the woods something like that goes more like $12K-$14K. I guess the dealer has to a make a living too...
All the best.

Hhahahaha! $12-14 in Noise Jersey?...with 89K milles? C'MON man! I'm from Brooklyn, My wife's from Piscataway NJ...You guys drive those cars into the ground! We go to NY 5-6 times a year (drive) and The NJTP and Parkway posts a 55-60-70 mph speed limit. YOU nuts are going 85-90-100-110....you people are KILLING your cars!

And NY in general has potholes that would sink a ferry...nope. Think I'll pass!

Now. WHY would I buy a car with all the rust and snow and salt under those east coast cars...and engines WAY above rev limits?....answer? I wouldn't.

NAH! Think I'll pass! THIS car is a local Nashville TN car, first sold in Linden TN, excellently maintained, not a spot of rust and not a blemish on the paint....SO...put that in your NJ exhaust pipe!

You didn't read my post? Check again...but read the fine print...

Close, close, VERY close...Please read. This car was 17K out the door. PLUS Lexus gave us the PLATINUM extended warranty for free (2,100.00 value)...cabeesh? Insurance gave us $13,500 for the wrecked 2002 (106K miles) . The rest I put down cash on the barrel head...you know what barrel head means? (See WIK East Coast drivers...) LOL! Probably get around $10,000 for pain and suffering etc etc....but i feel fine...a little sore, but going to the same chiropractor and so far so good.

Yep, TN is great, just filled with terrible east Coast drivers seemingly....LOL

Cal/Tx huh? I was raised in W TX until the age of 12....nothing in TX but mesquite and cowpies...CAL? Bought sold 5 houses out there...would NOT go back for all the tea in China...or Boston? LOL

My 2000 ES 300? I got almost $9,820.00 for that thing with 130K miles on it...plus $4,800 to the Chiropractor and $4,500 to me for injury and damages...wrecked! Some guy had come out of Homed Depot parking lot in a brand new Cadillac SUV and hit my passenger rear tire full on, totallng my ES rear tire undercarriage, wheel, axles, and rear Q panel, not to mention stuff I couldn't see....totally demolished his Caddy front end..

I have a thread and pix on here somewhere.....

Come on DOWN! TN is great for car values, just make sure you bring your crash helmet!
