How do I remove transmission pump?
I have a '99 rx300. While replacing the rear main seal, I had the transmission out. Once reinstalled, the car would not move. I think either the torque convertor or the trans pump is damaged. I can't see how to remove the pump from the transmission. Hopefully, I do not need any special tools. Any help appreciated.

From what I have read, you have to mate the two sections very carefully and measurements may be involved. I would check with Code and Thomas (or let them weigh in on this).
Before you get to far on the broken pump trail, verify by opening the line to the radiator and see if the pump is pushing the fluid through the circuit.

Pump needs replacing
I have separated the trans and removed the pump. It definitely needs replacement. It is bound and has a broken drive gear, etc. Does anyone know the best place for a new/rebuilt trans pump for a U140F transmission. prompt replies appreciated.

Viking, You probably know by now but the installation of the torque convertor MUST be done according to Lexus service manual, otherwise the outcome you've experienced is likely in store for you. It's not as easy as some to get the convertor seated all the way into the pump. You aren't the 1st who has made that mistake.
