1999 Radio Tuning
I have a question about tuning the radio.
On my radio, the outer ring on the right hand **** rotates and has the indent clicking feel as you turn it but it doesn't tune the radio. It has been that way since I bought the car new. The only way I can tune the radio is by using the scan function. Is this normal?

To tune the radio you have to use the track up and down buttons.
The top right hand **** lets you change the bass, treble, mid, etc. You have to press it once, and then turn it.

That's what I was afraid of. This has to go down as one of the dumbest design choices ever made by Lexus ( that could be another whole thread). The right hand **** has allways tuned the radio frequency, ever since vacuum tube radios were first installed in cars. I guess in" the relentless pursuit of perfection" they went off the track here.

My 2005 Toyota Sienna can tune from the right side dial.
