Front license plate bracket
I recently got an 02 from a PA resident and I'm in NJ and I need to put a license plate on front. I see two holes in the bumper but no bracket. Looked for it in the spare tire area, nothing.
Do I need the bracket or just screw it in? I don't want it to look bad.

You should use a bracket. You should be able to pick one up at a Toyota/Lexus dealership.
Or, if there are any salvage yards in your area, they may have one attached to a front bumper of a Toyota/Lexus.

I seem to recall that the dimples in the bumper don't match up with where the holes need to be.
You might try a Pennsylvania Lexus dealer (who should have piles of the front license plate hardware and might give you a set), or a local Lexus dealer who might give you a package of the hardware as a good-will gesture before going ot and buying one.

My didn't come with a bracket, but there were threads in the holes. I got a free license plate frame from Sports Chalet that I liked ("I'd rather be playing hockey") and used two rubber 1/2 inch rubber washers to keep the plate off the bumper. I think it looks good, and it was free.

Thanks all. I see that the dealers online have it for $37-$45+ and for pickup, $60. I look to see if I can find one cheap around but will definetly get one. In the mean time, I will just screw it in.

Universal Bracket
I bought a universal bracket from Auto Zone. I believe the bracket was less than $10. Mounted it using some old faucet washers as spacers. The faucet washers are some what flexible so they worked well. I don't know if they are available anymore since everything now is washer-less.
I have put about 7000 miles on the bracket with over 4000 on the highway. No problems with the bracket just my engine. Hope you have better luck with your used Lexus than I did.
