Default Replacing Body Parts (fender, etc.)

Has anyone replaced any part of the exterior skin of their RX300 and used after market parts? I'm looking to replace a fender and I've seen them for primed and sometimes painted (using the buyer supplied paint code) at significant discounts. I'd be interested in hearing any relevant experience.

I have just bought a new fender very cheap on ebay $200 delivered to Australia i am sure it will be thinner than oem but i will used it and perhaps beat mine back out and swap it back over in time. I will let you know how i feel about it when it turns up.

I'll be very interested to hear your reaction. I doubt that it will be thinner. My bodyshop guy didn't seem to hesitate at the notion of buying the parts. RockAuto carries the economy and CAPA fenders ($61 and $146); but the shipping is a bit of a hit. The OEM is closer to $350.

It sounds like you bought yours primed. Would you mind sharing which ebay seller you used?

I will be happy to share the seller after it arrives but i would like to be a satisfied customer before i recommend. I will give a fair review on it when it arrives and will let you know how my fitting goes. I been busting to fix my car after i was side swiped by a truck lucky is only fender trashed. Was wondering whether to make a claim but figured i would still need to buy the fender or it will sit around forever in some shop as no parts in Australia so i now may as well spray it and put it on the car since i have the equipment and ability.

I bit the bullet and ordered a painted fender for $245 shipped. I'm hoping, but not really expecting, to be pleasantly surprised. Have you removed your fender?
