Driver seat cushion adjustment repairs
Hi, first post from a new RX300 owner. I have searched for information regarding repair of the cushion adjustment feature. The rear tilt adjust will not work, the front tilt works fine. Unfortunately, the rear is raised to its maximum height, and I am 6'2", so I need to lower the rear of the cushion.
I have pulled the seat, tested the motor (it spins up fine). There appears to be some electronics associated with the geared element that travels on the fixed screw. Any advice on testing the electrical elements associated with this issue? What is the electric element - a limiter to prevent travel beyond a certain point? Other?
Is there a way to release the fixed screw and manually adjust the seat cushion. Can post pictures if that will help, but I assume if you have pulled the seat before you are familiar with what I am describing.
Thanks, and I appreciate any wisdom some of you might offer.
Chris

update
Was able to release the fixed worm drive screw from the seat frame, and spin the normally fixed screw to adjust the setting for seat height, then compress the frame and reseat the worm drive screw. Ultimately, this gets the seat height to a workable position for me, but it is a work around and not a true solution.
I would still welcome any thoughts on how to troubleshoot/repair the previously described issue.
Many thanks.
