Clicking noise from the AC/alternator belt area
Since yesterday i have observed a mild clicking noise coming from the AC/alternator belt area.
The noise is present while driving at a very low speed (20mph) as well as when in idle.
I am not sure if the noise is there when driving at higher speeds, as the road noise takes over!!
I have 123K miles. The belt looks good and does not show any cracks. I have not got them changed since i have owned the car for last 60K miles. Major engine work was done around 65K by Lexus for the Oil sludge issue as part of their class action lawsuit warranty. The invoice shows the timing belt was replaced, but it does not say anything about the AC/alternator belt or associated pulley/etc.
Looking for some advice on what may be the potential issue and if it is safe for me to drive with this clicking noise for couple of weeks till i can fix it myself or take it to a mechanic.
Thanks in advance to all the wonderful and helpful people on this forum.
