2000 Rx300 cooling fans
I've got a 2000 rx300 and the cooling fans will only work if the heater is on.
Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this subject?
Thanks for any advice

The fans robs energy and they are kept off as much as possible. That said you should never stick your hand in the fans path as they can come on for various reasons.
Check the coolant level is good and your temp gauge remains near the halfway mark
A?C and stop and go traffic usually turns on the fans. [Heat in auto turns on A/c]

The fans will not come on unless the heater is on in auto if you shut it off.
I was wondering if there is a switch or sensor that I need to check the temp
Gauge goes past the half way mark if you let it run with the heat and air turned off
