2001 RX 300 Window Woes
I am having difficulty raising the window on the front passengers side door. It seems to open ok, but I have to keep playing with the switch to get it to raise up. This is from the passenger side switch. I can hear it click inside the door from both the passenger door as well as the main one on the drivers side. I did follow the threads, and remove the switch assembly and clean off the dust.
All the other windows work fine, from their individual door switch as well as the main one on the drivers door.
This seemed to start after I cleaned and detailed the inside of the car. I wiped everything down with a slightly damp cloth and will use a slightly damp brush inside the crevises.
I have tried unhooking the battery, and that didn't seem to help.
Thanks.

I would strongly suggest your answer lies in the "stickies" LexMex has posted on this subject...just go the the top of the page and click on the sticky list. I am about to embark on the same journey, and plan to replace my door lock actuators as well. I'm sure it will be a "character-building" experience, similar to being in the military.

Saw your post - sounds like the same problem I have. I followed the directions posted by lexmex for taking the door apart and removing the motor and regulator. Now its all apart and I'm not sure I've ID'd the problem. The switches (driver and passenger side) are sending signals to the motor. The motor works, but it seems to have a mind of its own. I noticed in one of the posts that when you install a new motor there is a reset procedure. I have not tried that yet - next on my to do list. Let me know if you discover a solution. There are lots of posts on this topic but they all seem to have a different ending.

That was a great video. I will give that a try.
The other thing I could do is to take the circuit board off the 2001 RX 300 that I purchased today, and switch it with the one on my wife's car.
