All of these symptoms at once. Going to get codes after daughters dance class.
All symptoms pointing to a/f sensor.
I know it is hard to diagnose w/o codes but anyone else hear of all these at one time

Knock sensors were "replaced " by previous owner before we purchased . Any special tools needed to pull intake if that happens to be the issue? Off to advance auto now

No special tools.
No, not all CEL's will disable the OD.

From what I recall. Mulitple misfires PO300.301 etc , PO171 ,
Then the code for Bank 2 sensor 1 air fuel and the upstream 02 sensor code was present.
Im letting the wife take my car tomorrow so I can get into further detail and not have a rowdy daughter with me,

Its been idling very rough but no fluctuation on the RPMs . If I go full throttle from a dead stop, you would thInk I was in a diesel from the smoke. Going to take videos and post shortly. The damned exhaust is shot too or maybe it is the the gaskets and hardware needing replaced. Very embarrassing exhaust leak to boot

No need to post videos yet, reset the computer and see what code pops up first. Limp mode will make it do all of those things. In fact the exhaust leak actually could be the problem depending on where it's at. Report back with the code(s) and location of the exhaust leak.

Transmission is shifting fine today so there is something intermitent. I am going to see if I can somehow get the 02 sensor remounted. We cannot afford a new exhaust at the moment. I see some jbweld in the future. I hate putting bandaids on but I do not want my family poisoned either.

JB Weld to the rescue ! Car is much quieter. Bank 2 sensor 1 a/f sensor code came back. Found a denso at advance auto parts for $163 and got it down to $113 after coupon codes and have $50 off coupon off next purchase of $100+ .

That's a great deal, I think it's even cheaper than Amazon. Plus you got a $50 coupon for next time! Good Job!

Installed the sensor last night. The black smoke was present for the first few miles. I am assuming the cpu is relearning the fuel curve? Check engine light is still present but I am going to disconnect the battery and see if it comes back. I am going to replace the other one in a week or two. \
I reset the mpg and it is staying around 19 while driving in the city which is promising but will wait a week until and see where it is at.
Power and acceleration did not seem to improve at all. I may just be expecting too much out of the car.
Would it be advisiable to clean the MAF after replacing the sensor?
