also, i have the following idea regarding the PITA screw. what if i JB WELD a small nut to the head of the phillips head screw. then i should be able to use a small open end wrench to re-install, or to remove, again, if necessary. does that make sense???

or i could use a dremel cutting wheel to cut a pair of right angle slots into the screw head. i would prefer that over the phillips head for such a very tight fit.
Here is the picture for how to open the difficult screw from the airmix servo motor behind the two heater core pipe.

thanks to both of you. i will try both methods. i still do not see how a stubby phillips screwdriver can help, but i do think a previous poster said it is a necessity for this job. just curious. and yes, i am dealing with the air/mix servo. i watched it stutter as i tried to adjust the temperature, and i also used a mechanic stethoscope to confirm the rattle. i called it the AC servo because it think it is the air control servo.

Stubbyscrew driver needed for the mode servo motor removal of lower right side screw. You cannot see it but will feel it by hand. It is a blind spot. Good luck with you.

I bought following conductive grease for servo motor: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290730600080...#ht_5268wt_908.
I went to local pepboys store for conductive grease and they recommends dielectric grease. But which is not conductive grease.

That should do the job Gazi. You see how many other uses there are for it. I use it all the time on contacts of any kind that I want to protect from corrosion as well as provide lubrication. Battery posts are an excellemnt place to use it as well as where you are using it on the strip contacts. Bulb contacts (especially in wet climates) is another good place to use it, especially small "peanut bulbs" that are so prone to corrosion on the little wire contacts.
