Hey guys.

Its been a few months already but i thought id try to get this fixed.

My lock button on the remote key doesnt work anymore. The little red light doesnt blink when i press it. I dont even feel a click when i press it unlike the unlock button/panic.

So what can i do now? My unlock/panic buttons work fine but its starting to become annoying to lock my car from inside before i step out of the car.

I hear new keys are expensive so iono if i want to go that direction.

Have you opened up the kry and removed the lint if any.

Be sure to peel of the cover that's on the buttons. It's just glued on, underneath there you will find the contacts for the keys. I had to add a small piece of plastic in there because the contact had worn away. Now it works perfect!

Anybody know where i can get the proper screwdriver? All mines are too big

Nvm. I tried fixing it but i guess its a dead button now

Any cheap replacements out there?

Nothing is cheap for a Lexus, that includes the key. lol

You can buy one from ebay.

look for the remote only and swap it out. You will have to reprogram it.

If you like craftsman brand tools, Sears is the place to go.
