I have a 1999 rx300.

Full tank of 93 premium (15 gallons) will last me for 200-215 miles (city driving).

How about you guys?

Full Tank of 93 (about 13-14 gallons) - City: 247, Highway: 275-280 -- My highway mileage is a bit lower than others probably because I'm usually the idiot going 85-90+ mph in the fast lane. < LOL
I drive my RX hard, redline regularly. I get pretty good gas mileage, I'm satisfied. I just wish it had a bigger tank.

In the winter though, I don't get more than about 220 miles (but I also don't run the tank down, I always fill up well before the fuel light comes on) The main reason why I don't as much per tank is because I warm it up way more than necessary. I usually warm the RX up a minimum of 5 mins every morning, the average time I warm it up is probably around 7-8 mins. < I know it's not needed, 30 secs is good enough... But, I'm old fashioned. < even though I'm not all that old, or even close to old.

I don't know how other people get such good gas mileage! I drive like a regular driver yet my screen reads 13-15 miles per gallon.

While I drive the same on the Murano and I get 20 mpg.

Maybe its my tires, allignment, etc? dunno.

Have you tried calculating it manually?

What's the air psi in your tires? When was the air filter last changed? When was the throttle body, iacv, and maf last cleaned? (If AWD) when was the rear diff, and transfer case oil changed? Are the brakes dragging? Spark Plugs? Have you tired resetting the ECU?Too many possibilities. But, it is possible to figure out where the problem lies.

13-15 mpg is terrible, I don't even get that bad mpg driving in chicago traffic with the A/C on. Something has got to be wrong.

Default Miles per gallon

1999 RX - I get 300 miles for 15-gallons as I get 20 mpg with a mix of highway and local driving - hardly any city bumper to bumper traffic. I used to get 18.5 mpg when my work commute was local driving, now it's highway. And I run 87 or 89 octane only. I always thought this was average, now I feel lucky.

1999 Rx 300. 18 mpg. 260+ if I drive it mostly on the freeway, 180-210 in the city. Always 91.

My 03 300 (bought new) was always filled with 87 octane reg as the manual stated. I tried high test two separate times and the engine wasn't as silky smooth. Also the mileage was down a tad.

On regular I usually got between 18-20 around the local area and 24-26 when traveling. I didn't drive it hard and usually went about 5 miles or more per start up.

Highway driving was usually cruise control set at 75 mph.

I miss that car but love my new one too

I've owned my 2001 RX for 22K miles (less than 2 years) and measured the mileage on every tank. I usually go about 300 miles per tank and I've averaged 18.23 mpg.

Try changing your air filter and fuel filter and clean your MAF sensor.

One other note the fuel tank was larger on the later models of the RX300....The original was like 17.2 gallons and later I believe was around 20 gallons.

19.5, IIRC. I'll go look, need to move Princess outside so the rain (yea!!!) can wash dust off her, anyway.

19.8 gallons for the 2002 model year. Still wish it were more, closer to 23-25 gallons, but this is a pretty good range.

When I get some time later this week, but I plan to do some maintenance on my vehicle to hopefully bump it up over 20+ mpg, it's 19.6 last time I checked, but on the highway, been getting 24 to 27 mpg on longer trips across Florida. When I have taken trips out of state, get much better gas mileage with non-ethanol gas in other states.
