Default Bull Bar

Hello everyone i'm looking for a bull bar for my 2001 RX300.
Does anyone know where to get one?

Did they discontinue or something?

Default Jaos Center Protector

It looks like Jaos may have discontinued them, their website is unclear (Japan only?). Their site says they have 1 in stock...

http://www.jaos.com/search.asp?searc...&Submit=Search

There may be other sources, but this is the one I knew of. Good luck!

RX300 is getting pretty old and cant blame manufacturers from moving to newer models.

Your Welcome. Hopefully it all works out!

What part of New Jersey are you in? I'm in the Edison/Iselin area.

But don't newer models have the same chassis and if the bullbar only needs to clear the bumper wouldn't half if not all bullbars for RX330 RX350 RX400, highlander and Kluger fit?

I would find it hard to believe that the mounting holes are precisely the same for all of the newer models when compared to the RX300.

Look at it the other way, if they were the same, the after-market guys would love to claim and cover more models for the same product.

The clearances are pretty unforgiving. The bull-bar from Jaos that I have on RX300, required me to remove front bumper and get to steel in the frame and the clamps barely clear the bumper.

If you compare the various models, you would notice that the noses are different. 300 is more blunt and the later models have an angled (relatively more pointed) nose.

My bad bro.. I've been on and off. Sorry for responding so late. I live on exit 16e on the turnpike.

Do you guys think the bull guard gives some type of protection for the RX? or its more for show?

The bull bar changes the crash dynamics [note your RX was tested without it]. The Low speed impact give that the bumper provides is now gone.Left side frontal impact is transferred to the right side and vice versa.

My take is small bumps and stuff you get less damage (and can cause more damage to the other].
Slow and high speed impact causes more damage to the RX and occupants and causes more damage to the other vehicle.

I see it as an addition that personalizes your RX. There is no brush and practically nothing you want to nudge with it.

dam. I feel like a dummy for purchasing it and thinking it gives me extra protection. I don't drive recklessly or speed but i do drive a bit fast and careful.

Thanks for the input salimshah.
