I added this freon (one can or less) last summer until now no problems. AC works great.

It came with 134A. Unless it has been wrecked and the hood replaced, there should be a sticker under the friont of the hood that designates system capacity. Somtimes the sticker is on the core support or elsewhere, but definitely under the hood. It doesn't take a lot, normally 1.3-1.6 lbs. Note that those are 16 oz. lbs. I don't know of any A/C charge that comes in 16 oz. cans., sometimes 14 oz, sometimes 13 oz.,sometimes 12 oz. On an '02, you MAY still have a sight glass in the system that would aid in adding correctly. Do a little research on this rather than just "adding" til it's cold. That's definitely the WRONG way to go about it!

The proper way to refill the A/C system is to first recover all of the freon from the system. And, then it's recommended you run a vacuum for at least 30 mins, even if the system hasn't been opened up. You then use a A/C Freon Scale to add the refrigerant. You also have to add PAG oil (verify by reading the sticker under the hood) for all of the components to stay oiled up.
