Default Great forum for information!

i lost my rx300 on 5-31-11
a guy infront of me braked hard and i rear ended him. the first thing i said when i got out of the car was, "my grill! NOOO!". since the car is a 99 with +180,000 miles insurance totaled it. repairs would cost +$7000. i loved my rx and i wanted them to repair it. i cant blame anyone else but myself. i did strip all the parts that i could (led tail lights, rx330 rims, hella horns, and bass tube) this is a really great forum. you guys helped me with repairs and tips all the years i drove the RX.

Sad!

The insurance company would not repair it as the cost of repair exceeds the market value. I feel for you as I too think my RX has higher value than even the blue book value.

You can ask them to locate an equivalent RX or just take the money and look for an alternative.

Wheel and tires look good among other things.

Hope your alright, the damage really doesn't look that bad. But, on paper it's probably much worse than it looks.

It does help, but when two enthusiasts such as you & Zombie put all your time, effort, and care into your vehicles - especially when you've had the vehicles as long as you had - I'm sure that the pain never goes away, especially when you see another heavily modded RX/300.

The 330/350 vehicles are nice, but I've always liked the look of the 300 much better. It would be nice if Lexus could go back to this body style.

Sorry for your loss, and best of luck

thank you all for your concerns and comments. my airbag didnt go off so physically im alright, but my loss of the rx hurts. since i filled my gas once or twice a week; im now looking for a vehicle that will get at least +20 mpg. i just want a black car so i can do the same style as my rx.
